As expected, Lenovo has finally launched the K4 Note in India today. Lenovo’s phablet
is priced at Rs 11,999, and it will be available in Tuxedo Black color
via a flash sale on Amazon India on January 19. Registrations for the
first sale start today from 3PM.
Unlike most smartphones available in this range, Lenovo’s K4 Note
boasts a metallic body, fingerprint scanner and dual front facing
speakers. Lenovo will also introduce customization options for the K4
Note including five wood-finished back covers.

Another talking point of the phablet is what Lenovo calls
‘TheaterMax’, which can convert any multimedia content into a virtual
reality experience. Be it games or videos, TheaterMax can convert them
into “immersive large screen experience boasting smooth graphics,
life-like surround sound and responsive 3D gameplay.”
Lenovo has also launched a virtual reality headset called ANTVR,
priced at Rs 1,299. If you buy the phablet and the VR headset together,
you can get the bundle for Rs 12,499.
Lenovo K4 Note specifications and features: The phablet
flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display with 178 degree
wide angle viewing at 450 Nits brightness, and a pixel density of
441ppi. Under the hood is a MediaTek MT6753 64-bit octa-core processor
paired with Mali T720-MP3 GPU and 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM. Also on offer is
16GB internal storage, which can be expanded using a microSD card. It
also supports USB OTG.
On the photography front, the K4 Note is equipped with a 13-megapixel
f/2.2 rear camera with dual-LED flash, and PDAF. Up front is a
5-megapixel selfie camera. It also features a 3,300mAh battery, which
the company claims is good enough for up to 22 hours of talktime and up
to 292 hours on standby mode.
Also included are dual front-facing 1.5W speakers with support for
Dolby Atmos. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE
support, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, NFC and Bluetooth 4.0 LE. On the
software front, it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
